Guardrail Along Jalan RE Martadinata Has Not Been Repaired

The collapsed guardrail or road safety irons, along Tanjung Priok Port, Jalan RE Martadinata, North Jakarta is still not being repaired.

It has been happening for more than 6 months. And it's hit by container truck that passed by at that time

Based on Beritajakarta.com observation, the guardrail  was damaged and collapsed to the channel at the edge of it. There are 4 points of iron  dangling out to the channel. It would be dangerous for residents walking and making the channel clogged.

Deded (48), a resident of RW 14, Tanjung Priok Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-District, stated that the damaged irons like near Karapan Sapi Park and Post 9 was because of being hit by container truck and private cars.

"It has been happening for more than 6 months. And it's hit by container truck that passed by at that time," he explained, Thursday (11/5).

Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Anthon Parura told that his side had known about the damaged guardrail along the road.

"There is also channel reparation along the roadside. Therefore we have coordinated with Water Management Sub-Department. So, when the channel reparation is done, next the guardrail will be repaired," he told.
